"What is exfoliation and do I really need it?

What is Exfoliation?

In simple words, exfoliation is the process of ridding the skin of this layer of dead skin cells and aiding cell turnover. When this layer of skin is buffed away, fresh new cells surface up, revealing smoother, radiant and healthy skin.

Fun fact: You create dead skin on a daily basis. Yep, daily.

Benefits of Exfoliation

• Unclogs pores
• Fewer breakouts
• Improves blood circulation
• Softens skin
• Minimises pores
• Helps get rid of hyperpigmentation
• Enhances youthfulness and radiance
• Improves absorption of skincare

In a nutshell, exfoliation is the secret sauce for healthy and glowing skin.

How often should you exfoliate your face?

We recommend exfoliating twice a week, spacing it out accordingly.

Tip: fix it on Wednesdays and Sundays weekly.

Physical or Chemical Exfoliators?

Chemical, always. Contrary to what many believe, chemical exfoliation is much gentler. By doing away with all the rubbing and scrubbing (as in the case of physical ones), these exfoliators eliminate risks of micro-tears that physical exfoliators can cause.

Integrating Exfoliators with Yours Personalised Skincare

Exfoliating regularly ensures that your skin absorbs all the goodness of the ingredients in your personalised regimen.

We recommend exfoliating at night before going to bed as your skin gets vulnerable and sensitive post-exfoliation. Wash your face, exfoliate, and then apply your personalised face serum followed by your night cream.
