At Yours, we believe in doing the heavy lifting for you and putting you at the forefront of everything we do. We started by personalising your skincare regimens so you no longer have to worry about trial-and-error. Now we’re simplifying another important step in your skincare journey by addressing some of your biggest skin concerns head-on.

Blackheads. Whiteheads. Acne. Clogged Pores. Our users most commonly mark these as major skin concerns. But as common as these are, there’s no one-stop solution to tackling them all. There is, however, a very simple way to diminish these problems and keep them under control: keeping your skin clean and your pores clear. Sure, it might sound obvious and you might say “Yes, I cleanse my skin daily and apply serum” but, more often than not, you’re missing that one crucial step: exfoliation. And today, that’s precisely what we’re launching – Clean Slate Exfoliant Pads.

Meet Clean Slate

In line with our mission to make skincare simple and sustainable, today we’re launching Clean Slate Exfoliating Pads – a gentle chemical exfoliant. Each individual cotton pad is pre-soaked in clean, oil-soluble ingredients that work their way into your pore-lining and dissolve dead skin cells and impurities. You’ll find a balance of sustainable plant-based ingredients, and clean lab-made ingredients in its formulation, including Arginine, Salicylic acid, Green Tea Leaf extract, and Chamomile extract – all of which are so gentle they’re suitable for even the most sensitive skin types!

Using a single pad once or twice a week will take your skin from rough and bumpy to smooth as silk; from dull and congested, to refreshed and renewed. We’ll go out on a limb and say it’s the missing skincare step you never knew you needed – one step towards clearing clogged pores, blackheads and breakouts to reveal truly healthy radiant skin.

Why is Exfoliation Key to Healthy Skin?

Think of your pores as tiny open crevices. Micro dirt particles from pollution, makeup or skincare products fill these crevices throughout the day. On top of that, your natural oils build up on the surface of your skin––the combination leads to clogged pores. If you don’t clear your pores thoroughly at least once a week, blackheads, whiteheads, acne, and dull skin will follow––and simply cleansing your face at the end of the day isn’t always enough! Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells and buffing away dirt build-up from deep inside your pores. The result? Smooth, healthy, radiant skin.

Yet with so many different exfoliants on the market today, understanding which type is safe and right for you can be tricky. While physical exfoliants packed with natural ingredients – like fruit pits and nutshells – have been all the rage for quite some time, they are, in fact, far too abrasive and tend to cause micro-tearing; plus they actually have a huge environmental footprint. Chemical exfoliants are a much safer alternative. While this might sound harsh or toxic, they are actually much gentler on your skin and are safer for the Earth too. They contain acids or enzymes which penetrate deeper layers of your skin to remove dead cells and exfoliate from within, so new, smoother skin cells can surface.

We are on a mission to simplify skincare so you never have to worry about taking care of yourself. We believe exfoliation can tackle some of the biggest skin concerns you face daily, and now you can do it in one easy step. All you have to do is remember to exfoliate just once or twice a week (add a 📆 calendar reminder to exfoliate every Wednesday and Sunday here!), as over-exfoliation can lead to redness and irritation, and always apply moisturiser and SPF to keep your skin hydrated and protected. We do all the rest! So, are you ready for clear, healthy skin?
